SAN ANTONIO – The first Friday of every month in San Antonio signifies payday for some, but in San Antonio First Friday means a night of food, music, art, and evening entertainment.

You will find art by the best artists in San Antonio in Southtown, at Blue Star or along the street on South Alamo. Below are some fun events & entertainment to check out for your First Friday adventure.

Food & Drink

The pub run on First Friday is the main event for beer & cocktail enthusiasts. The theme for the pub run in March is St. Patrick’s Day. Wear your best St. Patrick’s Day gear and enjoy the pub run responsibly. The pub run starts at Pat O’ Briens and continues on.

Art

The First Friday Market and Music at Brick at Blue Star is a free musical showcase featuring art by local musicians and includes pop-up shops by local merchants with various items for sale. SA band Femina-X will take the stage and provide music for guests of the market.

Music

Señor Veggie hosts an intimate set with popular local musician, Nothing Chief. Nicholas Michael-Johnny Long most recently known for his work in The Lonely Horse, ventured out and began performing with a new band called The Red Legs. The Red Legs are a fusion of two drummers, Nicholas and others to create a sound unheard of in San Antonio.
