SAN ANTONIO – The Mala Luna Music Festival has revealed their day-to-day lineup for its second year in the Alamo City.
In its inaugural year, Mala Luna sold out and packed the Lonestar Brewery downtown with a crowd of 30,000. This year the music festival takes center stage at the parking lot of the Nelson Wolff Stadium on Halloween weekend, October 28 and 29.
The festival strives to make its name known in San Antonio by bringing world-class artists to this year’s lineup including, Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Future, Carnage, Playboi Carti, Kali Uchis, and more to name a few. Last year, Steve Aoki, G-Eazy, Travis Scott, Kaskade, Rae Sremmurd among others took the stage as headliners in its debut.
One question lingers for this year’s lineup. Will Lil Wayne show up? Earlier in September, Lil Wayne was hospitalized due to multiple seizures with his ongoing battle with epilepsy.. As of yet, there have been no cancellations to the festival.
Last year, rapper Kevin Gates was removed from Mala Luna due to being incarcerated for assaulting a fan in Florida. Rapper Jeezy replaced Gates last minute and the show continued.
In addition to hosting the festival, Mala Luna continues its philanthropic effort by donating a portion of proceeds of ticket sales to the Network for Young Artists, a San Antonio based non-profit organization which offers affordable music classes to youth ages 4 through 20. In 2016, Mala Luna raised a total of $15,000 to the NYA post festival.
Tickets are still available, but might not last as the festival sold out completely last year. Single-day GA passes to the fest start at $79. Additionally, GA two-day tickets are now available for purchase for the price of $119, while VIP two-day packages range in price from $209 to $399. Full lineup and dates below.
